St. Nectarios Orthodox Church Breaks Ground For New Facility in Lakeland.

On Sunday, June 8, 2008, St. Nectarios Orthodox Church broke ground on their newly acquired property at 405 Marcum Road., Lakeland. The three parts of the service were comprised of the Planting of the Cross (to establish that this is to be the House of the Lord), the Setting of the Cornerstone (signifying the foundation of the to be raised for the glory of God and in memory of Saint Nectarios of Aegina, the patron of the parish), and the Ground-breaking by each member of the parish present (in recognition that this is a communal effort in which every member of the parish plays a vital role.)

Prayer Authority Over the Weather

I want to send you this prayer that has been given to one of our members of the BODY OF CHRIST, Lake Wales, Florida to place the weather cycle under the finished work of JESUS CHRIST.
Please feel free to copy this and share it as we approach hurricane season this year.
The prayer speaks for itself and as we submit to the LORD OURSELF and submit the land to the finished work of JESUS CHRIST, we can trust HIM to answer the prayer HE has given to us.
