Polk Community College (PCC) and the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Polk County are teaming up to present a multi-cultural event called the Business 2 Business International Expo 2008, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Yesterday I opted to spend some time with a very special and dear mother, Earth. It seems she goes unappreciated all too often. I enjoyed the simple pleasures of uninterupted solitude listening to the birds chirp and tending to my vegetable garden. A day like yesterday is good for the soul. It helps to keep me grounded and focused on the true importance of life.

On Monday, don't go to Smokey Bones for lunch or dinner.
The restaurant was recently
sold by Darden. According to an employee of the restaurant, the 3901 US Highway 98 N location will be closed all day Monday to retrain staff on a new menu and new procedures.
The restaurant will open Tuesday at 11 am.
